A leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider offering comprehensive eCommerce warehousing and fulfillment solutions is seeking a Drayage Dispatcher. The company operates a global network of 12 warehouses, including 7 facilities across the United States, totaling approximately 3.6 million square feet of storage space.
With established partnerships with major carriers such as FedEx and UPS, as well as integrations with well-known retail platforms including Walmart, Home Depot, and Wayfair, the company supports the logistics needs of over 500 eCommerce businesses. The focus is on delivering efficient, scalable, and reliable supply chain solutions to help clients grow and succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule the movement of goods at the port in the Savannah, GA area.
- Ensure timely and efficient loading and unloading of cargo containers.
- Manage and oversee the dispatching process for various goods, including meeting pods, sofas, and other furniture items.
- Coordinate with port authorities, shipping companies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and track shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including documentation and tracking information.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Provide support and assistance to other port operations as needed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in port dispatching or related logistics roles.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of port operations and shipping logistics.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and logistics software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to Commute:
- Must be able to reliably commute to Rincon, GA 31326 (Required)
