TRUCK YARD ASSISTANT

We are currently hiring a reliable and hardworking Truck Yard Workers to support daily yard operations.

PAY: $17.00 per hour
PAY FREQUENCY: Weekly
STATUS: Temporary
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM until daily tasks are completed (typically around 5:00 PM)
LOCATION: Garden City, Savannah, GA 31408

JOB OVERVIEW

The Truck Yard Assistant will assist with daily site operations, including securing freight, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and completing various physical labor tasks. This position requires someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and able to work well as part of a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely climb ladders to secure and unbind freight on trailers and containers.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free facility grounds.
Perform physical labor to support daily yard operations and keep workflow moving efficiently.
Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Assist with other general yard duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
Must have reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
Must be comfortable working from heights and climbing ladders.
Must be able to perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
