Job Type: Temporary / Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:55AM-Until work is completed
Pay Rate: $18/hr
We are seeking a qualified Forklift Operator for our client located in Garden City. In this role, your will be responsible for operating industrial trucks to transport materials efficiently and safely. This role involves handling inventory, maintaining equipment, and following safety regulations to ensure smooth warehouse or site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, or containers
- Move goods to designated storage areas or production lines
- Stack and organize materials properly in warehouses
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance issues
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts
- Ensure loads are secure and properly balanced before transport
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid forklift operator certification (preferred)
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar setting
- Ability to lift heavy objects (often 50+ lbs)
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Basic math and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Warehouses, distribution centers, construction sites, or manufacturing plants
- May involve working indoors and outdoors
- Requires standing, lifting, bending, and operating machinery for long periods
