Truck Yard Associate
Pay: $17/hour (paid weekly)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM– Until the work is completed (Usually 5PM)
Employment Type: Temporary (Can transition to temp-to-hire)
Location: (Garden City) Savannah, GA 31408

Position Summary

We are currently hiring a reliable and motivated Truck Yard Associate to support daily yard operations. This role requires working outdoors, assisting with securing and releasing cargo, and maintaining a clean, organized yard under the direction of the Yard Supervisor. Dependability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well with others are key to success in this position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Secure and release cargo on trucks and containers using proper strapping methods
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard in accordance with supervisor guidance
  • Complete general labor duties to support overall yard operations
  • Follow all company safety standards and procedures at all times
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic with a dependable and positive attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate within a team environment
  • Prior forklift experience is preferred but not required
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy materials
