Yard Operations Associate

Pay: $17.00 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM until work is completed (typically around 5:00 PM)
Employment Type: Temporary (Possible Opportunity to transition to Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Garden City, Savannah, GA 31408

Position Summary

Darkhorse Express is seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Operations Associate to support daily yard activities. This position involves working outdoors, securing and releasing cargo, maintaining an organized work environment, and assisting with general yard operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Secure and release cargo on trucks and containers using proper strapping methods
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
  • Perform general labor tasks to support daily operations
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Assist with maintaining efficient yard operations

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
  • Prior forklift experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy materials as needed
