Pay: $15.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Darkhorse Express is seeking a dependable and motivated Back of House Supervisor to support daily kitchen operations and lead team members in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone with kitchen experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards, ensuring smooth operations, and leading by example.
Schedule Requirements
Must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Hours are typically 11:00 AM until closing.
Responsibilities
- Supervise back-of-house staff during daily operations
- Ensure food is prepared properly and meets quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Enforce food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with training and developing team members
- Support inventory management and supply organization
- Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
- Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used and maintained properly
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ServSafe Certification is a plus, but not required
